AZO Urinary Tract Defense

Our UTI Treatment with methenamine slows UTI symptom progression and eases patient pain∞

To help keep a urinary tract infection from progressing until your patient can get to your office, AZO Urinary Tract DefenseTM contains methenamine to help slow the progression and sodium salicylate to help with general pain.

AZO Urinary Tract DefenseTM helps target the causative agent of a UTI and simultaneously provides general pain relief.

Methenamine targets undesirable bacterial growth associated with UTIs, and sodium salicylate addresses bladder discomfort associated with a UTI through its anti-inflammatory activity.1,2 To support the activity of the antibacterial agent, the tablet contains acidifying excipients like benzoic acid and is enteric coated.

As a prescription medication, methenamine has been used for decades for the prevention of urinary tract infections.1,2 The antibacterial agent used in AZO Urinary Tract DefenseTM has demonstrated no development of bacterial resistance.2
